Although the program launched when Cattaneo Women's Health was established, Dr. Cattaneo conducted those services via her personal vehicle.
As of the 17th of April 2023, thanks to our loyal patients supporting us, the practice was able to invest in a van equipped with a gurney, a wheelchair, portable ultrasound, EKG, necessary instruments, and other equipment, including a medical bag.
This service is not an emergency ambulance. For emergencies, Cattaneo Women's Health advises patients to call 9-1-1 immediately.
Who Is Eligible For House Calls?
Who Is Eligible For House Calls?
Even though we are equipped to run a mobile clinic in a way, we put restrictions on who is and is not eligible for a house call.
Eligible patients are those, who live in the county and don't have proper means of transport to Los Santos. Those who are critical and high-risk, are advised to be on bed rest for the rest of their pregnancy. Those who think are in labor, but not in an emergent situation, require transport to the clinic.
This van is not equipped to act like a clinic for tests like pelvic exams or pap smears, patients requiring those, are recommended to travel to the clinic or request transport via our van.
